Privacy Policy For Socialscore.io web site

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 26, 2026

Introduction

Welcome to SocialScore.io (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We are a technology company providing data intelligence and analytics solutions for businesses. This Privacy Policy applies solely to your use of our marketing website (https://socialscore.io). It explains how we collect and use data when you browse our site or contact us to request a demo.

Important Note: This policy does not cover the data processing activities of our core SaaS product/scoring engine. The use of our technology by our Clients (Merchants/Partners) is governed by separate Data Processing Agreements (DPA).

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy is issued by DSNTech LTD (operating the SocialScore service), the controller of personal data collected through this website.

In this policy, “we”, “our” and “us” refer to DSNTech LTD. “You” refers to a visitor of this website.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy applies only to personal data we collect through this website (https://socialscore.io) — for example when you browse the site, submit a contact or demo form, or interact with embedded content.

It does not cover personal data processed by the SocialScore product on behalf of our business customers. When a business customer uses the SocialScore service to query data about its own end-users, that customer is the controller of that data, and the processing is governed by a separate Data Processing Agreement between us and that customer. End-users with questions about that processing should contact the relevant business customer in the first instance.

3. What data we collect

3.1 Information you provide

When you fill in a contact form, request a demo, subscribe, or otherwise correspond with us, we collect:

  • name
  • work email address
  • company name and your role
  • country (if provided)
  • the content of your message

3.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, we automatically collect limited technical data:

  • IP address (truncated / anonymised where supported by the tool)
  • browser type and version, operating system, device type
  • pages viewed, time on page, referring URL
  • approximate location derived from the IP address

We collect this through cookies and similar technologies — see Section 6.

3.3 What we do not collect on this website

We do not collect special-category data (health, biometric, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, etc.), and we do not knowingly collect data from children — see Section 11.

4. Why we use your data and on what legal basis

We process the data above for the following purposes and on the following legal bases under Article 6 GDPR:

  • Respond to your enquiry and schedule demos (form data, email exchanges) — Art. 6(1)(b) pre-contractual steps, or 6(1)(f) legitimate interest in handling business enquiries.
  • Send product updates, case studies and event invitations (name, work email) — Art. 6(1)(a) consent, withdrawable at any time.
  • Measure and improve website performance (analytics data) — Art. 6(1)(f) legitimate interest, or 6(1)(a) consent where required by cookie law.
  • Keep records of business communications and demonstrate compliance (correspondence, contact details) — Art. 6(1)(c) legal obligation, and 6(1)(f) legitimate interest.
  • Protect the website against abuse, fraud and unauthorised access (technical / log data) — Art. 6(1)(f) legitimate interest in security.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use the data collected through this website to make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects (Article 22 GDPR).

5. Sharing your data

We share personal data only with:

  • Service providers acting on our instructions — for example hosting, email delivery, CRM, analytics and customer-support tools — under written terms requiring confidentiality and GDPR compliance.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting, audit) where necessary.
  • Authorities, where we are required to do so by law or to defend legal claims.
  • A successor entity in the context of a corporate transaction (merger, acquisition, restructuring).

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with credit bureaus, credit reference agencies, credit intermediaries or lenders for credit-related purposes.

6. Cookies and third-party tools

We use the following categories of cookies and tools:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the site to function.
  • Analytics — e.g. Google Analytics, to understand how the site is used.
  • Embedded content — e.g. YouTube or Vimeo players for product videos. These providers set their own cookies when content is played.
  • Social links — links to external platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube). Clicking a link takes you to that platform, which has its own privacy policy.

Where required by law, non-essential cookies are loaded only after you give consent through the cookie banner. You can change your preferences at any time via the cookie settings link on the site. See our separate Cookie Policy at https://socialscore.io/cookie-policy/ for details.

7. International transfers

Some of our service providers (for example Google Analytics) are based outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. When we transfer personal data outside the EEA, we rely on a transfer mechanism recognised under Chapter V GDPR — typically the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, combined with supplementary measures where appropriate. You can request a copy of the relevant safeguards by writing to dpo@socialscore.io.

8. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose for which it was collected:

  • Contact-form and demo-request data: up to 24 months from the last interaction, unless you become a customer (in which case retention is governed by the customer agreement), or unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
  • Marketing communications data: until you withdraw consent or unsubscribe, plus a short suppression record so we do not contact you again.
  • Analytics data: in accordance with the retention setting of the relevant tool (for Google Analytics, the configured retention period).
  • Records we are legally required to keep (e.g. accounting, tax): for the statutory retention period.

9. Your rights under the GDPR

Subject to the conditions set by the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate or incomplete data rectified;
  • have your data erased (“right to be forgotten”);
  • restrict our processing of your data;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing;
  • receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and have it transmitted to another controller (data portability);
  • withdraw any consent you have given, at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal;
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Bulgaria, the Commission for Personal Data Protection (КЗЛД / CPDP), https://www.cpdp.bg.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at dpo@socialscore.io. We respond within one month, extendable by a further two months for complex requests, and will tell you if we need that extension.

10. Security

We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk of the processing, including encryption in transit, access controls on a least-privilege basis, logging and monitoring, vulnerability management, and confidentiality undertakings for personnel. No system can be guaranteed fully secure; please notify us promptly at dpo@socialscore.io if you become aware of a security concern.

11. Children

This website and our services are directed to business users and are not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact dpo@socialscore.io and we will delete it.

12. Automated decision-making

We do not make decisions about visitors to this website based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects, within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the services we offer, or applicable law. The current version is always posted at https://socialscore.io/privacy-policy/ with the effective date at the top. Where changes are material, we will give you reasonable advance notice (for example by email or a notice on the site).
